Hi, my name is Gemma Lambert, and we're here at Stockton Riverside College. with Naio Nails. to do some step-by-step tutorials the next nail design where going to do is a marbling design. we're also going to put a little bit of D on top This nail has been been prepped tipped and primed, so we're ready for the acrylic. To do a marble design you need to pick up colours all at the same time. So your going to dip into your white first, then your next colour then your darkest colour. When you place the bead on to your nail, while the acrylic is still wet, get your brush to a point, and swirl the products round together to create the marble effect. We're going to fill the other side of this nail in now with a bit of glitter. We can now cap this whole nail in pink acrylic. Let that acrylic set a little bit and then pinch. Once that nail has been pinched, we are ready to file. We've finished filing now, so we can get rid of the dust and apply a gel top coat. Pop your client into the lamp for two minutes. We're now ready to apply some D art on top of this nail. We're going to double dip to create a two toned petal. Always dip into your lighter colour first. Drain the liquid out of the back of the bead, it gives your petal more structure. Place the bead on, and give it some time to start setting. If you try to work on it too quickly you'll not get a good shape, it will start to bubble. Using the belly of your brush, press the petal out, keeping the point of your brush in the centre, of where your flower is going to be. For the centre bead, double-dip again and place the bead in the centre. Let it set again, then create a do-nut, by bringing your brush to a deg. angle and making a hole inside your bead. Next we're going to do a few little leaves next to it. This time don't wait for it to start setting, go straight into it and drag it to a point, then let it set a little bit. Once it's set, press into it with your brush to create a petal shape. Then your going to press in to it with your metal tool to create your veins. To finish this nail off, apply a small amount of cuticle oil and massage it in gently. because the 3D won't be set fully. [Read less]
