In this video we're going to show you how to do a realignment. That's where you take the white line back down so that it covers the natural nail. This nail also needs an infill and a reshape. We're going to start by pushing the client's cuticle back and don't forget to scrape any excess cuticle off the nail plate. Next we're going to come in with our electric file and take the length down and take the thickness right off this nail. So that acrylic and that tip is nice and thin now. So we can finish off by removing this lifting and then we can apply some more acrylic on top. Remember when you're removing lifting to file just before it not on it. Remember to keep moving, don't stay in the same place because it will heat up on your client. The don't forget to file the re-growth of the natural nail so that it is ready and prepared for the acrylic. Get rid of all your dust and don't forget to trap it in to your towel. We're going to use dehydrator just on the natural nail and primer, just in the natural nail. And then we're going to do a full, French overlay on this nail as if we were doing a new nail. We're going to do a full overlay on top of this nail now. We're going to be using Mega White, clear and blush pink. Don't forget when you're using your Mega White to take the liquid out of the bead so that the colour stays nice and strong. The next bed we are going to use is clear. The reason we use clear instead of pink is so that the white line stays nice and crisp. Then we're going to use pink in your zone three. Again, don't forget to tilt your client's nail down so that the pink doesn't run into the cuticle. We're going to let this nail set a little bit and the we're going to pinch again The reason we pinch again on a realignment is that we've taken the nail that thin that we can then pinch again and put that shape back in there. This nail's now ready to be pinched Place your pinching tool on and leave it on there for a few minutes. So we can take this pinching tool off now and file this nail. Remove all your dust and then apply your gel top coat. And get your client to put that finger into the lamp for two minutes. So this nail's now set and we can finish it off with little bit of cuticle oil. And that's the realignment done. [Read less]
