For this nail I'm going to show you how to use printing tools. You can buy printing tools or you can use paper clips or lids off your brushes - anything like that that will print into your acrylics. So, on this one were going to use the lid off of a brush. So we're going to do a base design just using three quite bright colours and again nice and thin because this is just going to be your base design. Nice and wet so that you can move it around without it getting too thick. We're then going to cap this whole nail in pink acrylic and print into the pink acrylic. So because we're going to print into this pink acrylic, wherever you're going to print into it it does need to be a bit thicker than what you would normally apply, so I'm just adding an extra bead onto the free edge for that reason. Just checking the thickness of that nail - a little bit more. Okay, what we're going to do is wait for this acrylic now to turn into a matte finish, As soon as it turn into a matte finish it's ready for printing,
Just before you print into your nail, dip your printing tool into the powder so that it's nice and dry and then use it to press into the design. Then what you're going to do is fill those grooves in that with a different colour. Leave that nail to set for a little bit before you're ready to pinch. This nail's now ready to pinch. Place your pinching tool on and leave it there for a few minutes. Take the pinching tool off and this nail's ready for filing. All you're looking at doing is filing the excess black acrylic off and leaving those rings there. I'm going too do a little bit of black hand-painted on this nail now so I'm just going to thin it down and smooth it out with my white block. All I'm going to do is apply a few little black dots around the design to finsh it off. Just wait for your paint to dry and then this nail's ready for a gel top coat. Then you can get your client to place that finger into the lamp for two minutes. To finsh this nail off - a little bit of cuticle oil and massage it in and that's your printed nail done. [Read less]
